Alejandro Ballesteros
Alejandro provides exceptional legal representation as a well-established Federal and State criminal defense attorney. He received his Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s School of Law in May of 2005. He has over 19 years of legal experience, and was a prosecutor for over 8 years for the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office in San Antonio, Texas. In 2014, Alejandro opened his private criminal defense practice, and has since represented hundreds of clients in both Federal and State criminal defense matters in the United States, specifically in the Southern District of Texas.
Alejandro’s practice focuses predominantly on Federal criminal investigations, negotiations, and trials. He has handled countless cases and has been victorious in hundreds of jury trials. He has represented multiple high-profile individuals, including public officials and high priority legal targets in both Mexico and in the United States, and has achieved successful outcomes for his clients each time. Current cases of his firm involve money laundering, extradition, drug conspiracy, antitrust, fraud, structuring, extortion, smuggling, and many other areas of criminal defense.
The best outcome for a client is to avoid an indictment, an outcome that Alejandro has obtained for many individuals facing investigations and extraditions – in which no charges were filed against his client. Of course, every client is different, and so are the facts and legal circumstances on each individual case. Alejandro strives to obtain the best possible outcomes for each and every client, and devotes his time, legal expertise, and efforts to ensure such outcomes. He ensures that his clients are well-informed and prepared throughout their case by analyzing all the case materials thoroughly and carefully strategizing based on the facts of the case.
